Duncan to give talks on The Royal Photographic Society’s stand (C60) at Focus on Imaging Exhibition 2011.

With over 200 exhibitors and 37,000 expected visitors, FOCUS ON IMAGING  is Europe’s biggest annual imaging show and takes place at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, UK between 6 – 9 March 2011.  Duncan will be giving a talk on The Royal Photographic Society’s stand  at 12:45pm on both Sunday 6 March and Monday 7 March.

Entitled “From Novice to Fellowship”, Duncan will relate his experience of going from a complete photography novice to just two years later licensing his first image for several thousand Euros.  He will then confess to licensing his second image for just £50 with the client going bust before paying him and explain how it has been pretty much downhill ever since!  There have been a few highs though, including gaining the coveted Fellowship, securing the notoriously elusive Wimbledon photographer accreditation, being appointed Official Photographer for Europe’s largest squash tournament and becoming a regular contributing journalist to Photo Pro magazine.  Come and hear him tell how he went about becoming semi-pro and see some of his award-winning images.
