Cap Estel book published.
November 2008. The magnificent coffee-table book on the history of the exclusive Cotes d’Azure hotel Cap Estel (www.capestel.com) has been published. The wrap and front cover features Duncan’s monochrome image that he captured on a “bad weather day” during a stay at the hotel. (Had the sun been shining he would have been laying by the pool and the shot would never have been captured!)
The Creative Director of the New York publishers commissioned to produce the book spotted the image on Duncan’s web site. Following discussions with the hotel’s owners and management, the image was unanimously selected for the cover of “Cap Estel, A Villa in Time”, a stunning 39 cm x 32 cm coffee table book about the fascinating history of this very special hotel. Duncan is delighted to be associated in this small way with his favourite hotel and in recognition of the extremely generous licence fee has presented Cap Estel with a framed print of the image!
